Shein is the Place to Shop
Looking for end of summer clothes? Maybe a light sweater or two for autumn? Then Shein is your place to go! I had heard many positive reviews from the fashion forward site for a while, but I wasn’t sure I wanted to invest myself until I recently did a mini shopping spree.
Shein is an online store that sells men and women’s clothing with an affordable price range that can fit anyone’s budget. The items range anywhere from $5-$35 for most items, which is rare to find when poking around big name brands these days. They have anything from shirts, bodysuits, pants, two-piece outfits swimwear, shoes, accessories and more. Like any other online store, each item is showcased on a model and given a vague description that may not be useful to someone whose not that in tune with “style language”. What makes Shein standout though is their reviews. Almost every item has photo reviews (which earn their loyal costumers points for free items in the future). The photos are a perfect way to see the items on real individuals versus the models in the stock photos. It gives you a great idea of versatility with different types of pairings of tops/pants and sizing. It’s what sold me on some pieces as you get to see peoples real reactions and thoughts, with photographic evidence of what the pieces genuinely look like. Many online stores host great reviews, but not many have an average of 10+ photos of their satisfied (or unsatisfied) costumers on each of their items. Shein you barely have to scroll the reviews before you see the first set of images, making it stand out against competitors who don’t offer the luxury of review images.
And so I finally took the dive and got myself 23 pieces to try out for myself. Yes, twenty three. That includes: tops, bodysuits, pants, lingerie, and three dresses. And the price? A little over $200 for it all. I was told shipping would take 2-3 weeks, and with the size of my order I wasn’t expecting anything less. So you can imagine my surprise when I received my entire order in three days—with standard (free) shipping. The outfits ended up being amazing too. The sweaters I ordered are thick and comfy, while the dresses (although a bit long) looked fabulous on me and weren’t thin for being $20, and the $10 lingerie is worth it ladies. Out of the 23 items I ended up returning five items, with Shein’s free return policy. Two of the items didn’t fit me as I’d like (I prefer a relaxed feel not tight clothing) and the other three items I personally didn’t like on myself. But I’ll tell you one thing, all the items were as described and the customers reviews and photos were accurate.
Would I buy from Shein again?
100%. It is a site I genuinely enjoyed my experience with. I had a hassle free experience, got my items quickly, and had no issues starting a refund order.
If you’re looking for an affordable place to shop, but want something that’s in style with todays clothes I would highly recommend Shein.com
